I have a love-hate relationship with digital music hardware. I've been fascinated by it since I first got started making music, and yet I've never been able to justify the need for it enough to purchase any dedicated music-making machinery.

If I were to eventually bite the bullet and shell out for a piece of hardware, I think the Roland SP-404 would be my ideal choice. Its form factor strikes the right balance between portable and full-featured, and its unique fx processing is still chased by producers even 20 years after its introduction.

For now, I will simply pay my respects via a voxel recreation.
